My strengths as a close-reader is well I don't think I have a strength. When I read is just like to read through it. I don't like to stop. For example, from Everything Everything, which is a very interesting book. If I stopped to annotate it I would probably would've lost interest in the book. But when it comes to homework I like to annotate. So it would help in the school wise to be more successful.

  1. I'm the exact same way. I read, and don't stop. It makes me feel more connected to the piece. However, I do believe you have the strength of thoughtfulness and detail. You don't stop to annotate because you say you'll lose interest in the book. Try to work off of the feelings you get. Why does something make you laugh? Are you upset in a particular moment, why? Look at the way the writer manipulates words and take just a second to reflect on it (don't feel the need to write something down right away, come back to it if you have to)! Keep sticky notes close by so you don't feel like you're annotating the book.
